Parasite Cleanse #2, With Friends!

This marks the 2nd parasite cleanse I’ve ever done, and this time two of my friends decided to join me to see what parasite cleansing is all about! I’m hoping to have them write a guest blog post at the end of our two weeks, so stay tuned to hear their experiences and results!

You may be wondering, what prompted them to try it too? Well, they saw how my acne cleared, my face glowed, my energy levels increased (not to mention how I literally saw parasites) and they wanted to see if they could experience the same results!

The cleanse so far:

  • Unfortunately this time around I have not been eating very healthy..I’ve been craving the most unhealthy foods every day! I think this is due to my past 3 weeks of binging on processed foods and eating out at restaurants while my boyfriend visited Hawaii and I visited home in California. It’s amazing how even a few weeks of bad habits can be so hard to break! My strategy: I’ve been trying to slowly get back into the healthy eating routine by allowing myself to give in to temptation and eat unhealthy foods when I really want them, but always try and have one healthy meal per day to help me transition back into mostly/all healthy meals.

I actually had this discussion with my yoga teacher (Check him out on instagram @hnlguru) about not depriving yourself of the foods your body is telling you you want. If you seek a binary solution (all healthy or nothing at all) then you will not enjoy this new change and you could potentially be setting yourself up for failure. I prefer a more achievable approach, with unhealthy things in moderation, perhaps more slightly skewed in the unhealthy direction at first, then slowly moving on to the healthier side of things as time goes on.

I will post in about a week with our final results from this cleanse!

Results so far:

  • Two friends have seen at least one parasite each!
  • I have seen at least one parasite!
  • Acne is clearing up
  • Skin tone is smoother
  • We also have noticed our energy levels increasing! My firnd is on her period and she said usually she is very tired, but this time she isn’t. I also noticed that on my last cleanse, so it’s great to hear someone else experiencing this!
  • We are all experiencing a lot of bloating. I think this is from the colon cleanse as the bottle says to decrease the dose if you experience bloating

We have all been eating unhealthy, so hopefully we will see more results this coming week! Stay tuned 🙂

This week’s ♥WALL OF WELLNESS♥

I’ve always turned to Robitussin or DayQuil or some sort of other medicine to heal me when I’m sick, but this time I did some research and tried to use Mother Nature instead! On day 1, I literally felt like I was a dragon breathing fire! I had to turn to a menthol cough drop and two advil to stop the pain (if anyone has any natural home remedies for pain, PLEASE share) I’ve also had a wet cough everyday with trouble breathing

For my wellness plan here’s what I did:

  • 6 wellness pills twice daily with a meal
  • 1 echinacea pill twice daily with a meal
  • 6 oil of oregano drops into 4 ounces water
  • Ginger/lemon/honey/echinacea or peppermint tea at least 6 times per day.
  • Added cloves of fresh cut garlic to each dinner I cooked
  • Also, LOTS of water!
  • Avoided dairy products and refined sugar foods (or at least tried – I can’t resist pizza and brownies at work! But i definitely coughed more when I ate those things) – this is actually very important! As soon as I ate refined sugar and dairy, my cough got way worse and more stuff would come up, leading to a worse sore throat. Eat alkaline foods us has kale, zucchini, carrots, etc. that will balance out your body and make it less acidic!

For the tea: use a peeler to get the ginger skin off of a 1-2 inch section, chop into tiny cubes. Slice lemon into half then quarter each half. Add two quarters lemon and 1-2 inches cubed ginger to pot of water then boil. Add echinacea tea bag and boiling lemon/ginger mixture into mug then sprinkle cayenne pepper and teaspoon honey into mug. Allow to cool a bit, then enjoy. I did this at least 6 times/day.

Oil of Oregano: I found out that Oil of Oregano is one of the most powerful natural antibiotics out there. I’ve been putting 6-7 drops into 3-5 ounces of water (don’t stir or shake-keep the oil in the middle in one place) and drinking quickly. It’s important to buy certain kinds with certain potencies, for example: I used organic wild Mediterranean oregano oil (origanum vulgare), it’s 80% carvacrol-this is important because carvacrol must be at least 60-80%, and because it is so potent it must be mixed with a carrier oil-this one is mixed with vitamin e and extra virgin olive oil.

It’s day 4 and my cough is subsiding, less stuff is coming up, and my throat doesn’t hurt half as bad!

How To: Parasite Cleanse – Materials, Links, and Tips!

For this cleanse, you’ll need Now Fresh Green Black Walnut Wormwood Complex, Whole Psyllium Husk, Liquid Bentonite Clay, and probiotics all of which are on Amazon. Links here:

Now Foods Fresh Green Black Walnut Wormwood Complex, 2-Ounce

Yerba Prima Psyllium Whole Husks, 12-Ounce

Yerba Prima Bentonite, Detox Pint, 16 Ounce

Garden of Life RAW Probiotics Women, 90 Capsules

*If you are planning on doing the cleanse for two weeks and doing the maintenance cleanse a week later (recommended) I suggest purchasing a larger amount of Bentonite clay and the tincture as I ran out.

How to cleanse: 
  1. Morning: As soon as you wake up drink a P&B colon cleanse shake: mix 8 oz of water or juice, add 1 tablespoon of your psyllium husks & 1 tablespoon liquid bentonite clay. Shake, don’t stir with metal utensils as the Bentonite clay will pull the metal into your drink, and consume quickly. Follow with an 8 oz glass of water immediately. Wait 1 hour after drinking the P&B shake, then take the parasite cleanse tincture by mixing two dropper full (not drops, entire droppers full) into 8 oz of water. Once this settles for at least 30 minutes, you can eat. Important: follow the time guidelines listed above, as the bentonite clay will absorb any nutrients from foods you eat and herbs in the tincture.
  2. Night: About two hours before dinner, make & drink your P&B shake and follow with 8 oz. glass of water. After an hour, make your tincture mix and drink. 30 minutes later you can eat. Take a probiotic 1 hour after you eat dinner.
  3. Repeat these steps daily for two full weeks!
  4. SUPER IMPORTANT UPDATE: Be sure to take a probiotic nightly!! Since you are killing a large amount of bacteria, you need to replenish the good ones to keep yourself from getting sick! I ignored this step and got so sick this week, I couldn’t even celebrate my 25th birthday! I went to my favorite local, organic health foods store Down To Earth and talked with the associates who recommended the RAW probiotics Women by Garden of Life, which I LOVE!

Overall tips for a great cleanse: Follow the timelines, take your probiotics, eat healthy/alkaline/parasite-killing foods, take healing herbs and drink healing organic tea (see my Wall of Wellness and posts on my instagram @liveinloveorganics for a couple teas I drink), do your own research and find what works for you! You are dramatically changing your body-thank it by helping it stay healthy!

Eat these while cleansing and even when not cleansing to help rid your self of parasites: raw garlic, pumpkin seeds, dried figs, pineapples, oregano essential oil, onion, extra virgin coconut oil, papaya seeds, pomegranate, and almonds

Tips from Organic Olivia:

You can do this parasite and colon cleanse that I’m doing while eating a normal diet. BUT, eat clean and healthy. Do not eat heavy foods or processed foods. It’s best to do the parasite and colon cleanse while juice fasting.

How To Enhance This Parasite/Colon Cleanse
1. EAT HEALTHY – Veggies, salads, leafy greens and cleansing foods. Avoid high sugar foods, and avoid all refined sugar/wheat/processed food.
2. EAT PARASITE KILLING FOOD – Raw garlic, pumpkin seeds aka “pepitas”, pineapples, papaya seeds, oregano essential oil in tea, dried figs.
3. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER – Keep your system flushing out toxins.

After Your Parasite Cleanse 
Continue to take a maintenance dose of the tincture or pills. This would be two to three droppers full, twice a day on an empty stomach, once or twice a week.

Also important: after you finish the parasite and colon cleanse, take an excellent probiotic daily. You want to replenish any good bacteria that may have been effected by the herbal antimicrobial.

Week Two of the Parasite Cleanse!

It is now the completion of week 2 on the Parasite Cleanse and man oh man do I have some updates for you!! Great things below, I suggest you check out each result so you know how my experience was and what to expect in yours! I decided not to bore you with my daily feelings/experiences (check out Post 1 if you want the intro), rather I’d share with you the exciting overall results!

How I ate and how this affected the cleanse: I started out eating like normal, just had fruit/oats for breakfast, salads for lunch and whatever I wanted for dinner (keep in mind, I am also a vegetarian so no meat on the cleanse). With the colon cleanse and all the fiber I was getting from my veggies, my bowel movements were happening 3+ times/day. I felt like I was really cleansing my body. Then by day 5 I had to go to a friend’s going away dinner, so I binged on pizza and pasta. This led me to make more poor choices in the following days full of bagels, more pizza, and refined sugars in the form of cake, ice cream and mochi and I tell ya, I really felt a difference. My bowel movements slowed to maybe once/day, they even almost halted, and the amount that was coming out was minuscule compared to the first handful of days because of the processed foods I was eating. I am a pizza person and I couldn’t resist a night out to celebrate with friends, but I regretted these decisions because I knew I was supposed to avoid sugars and processed foods. I felt like I wasn’t getting enough out of my cleanse, which led to…

Juicing!: I started juicing for the past 4 days and I am really feeling the benefits and changes!! My face is glowing, my skin is clearing, my tummy is flattening, and my energy levels are through the roof!! I feel like I can think clearer and enjoy my days more! My bowel movements have returned to multiple times a day in large amounts so I am so happy I’m finishing the cleanse strong. I highly recommend implementing cold-pressed, organic green juices into your daily meals while on this cleanse. I will include my recipes in another post (stay tuned). For now, check out this link for ideas. This is from “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” which inspired me to juice cleanse and it is amazing. Check it out on Netflix!

Skin: I have been told by multiple people that my face is glowing! I am so shocked because I honestly feel like it is too! My skin looks more moisturized, I have more color in my lips, and more pigment in my skin tone. I also have noticed my skin is clearing up – finally something that is working! Two places in particular, I have repeat offenders where even when I pop these pimples, without fail they return. I kid you not, these pimples are gone right now! I hope this isn’t one of those phases where I think it’s clearing but it pops back up, so I’ll keep you guys informed about that situation!

Energy: Levels are through the roof! Not many of you know this, but I work in an office Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm HST as a Recruiting Specialist/Account Manager. This job is so stressful, mundane at times, and really not anything I’m passionate about, so stress levels spike! Pre-cleanse, I was often/easily pissed off, snappy, annoyed, and exhausted despite my daily coffee routine. Post-cleanse I am still a little sluggish to get up in the morning (not so much a morning person myself) but once my eyes have finally settled into the open stage, I am wide awake, happy, and hilarious if I do say so myself – I have been cracking some funny jokes around work and everyone is noticing it, haha! This energy boost is making it hard to sit at a desk all day and work, BUT I am grateful for the change in mood, as work has been a complete stressful drag lately.

Parasite sightings: You guys, I apologize…I TRIED to dig and find worms to analyze and potentially take pictures of so I could share them with you, but I just don’t have the stomach for it! I would get queasy at the first attempt and just couldn’t stomach it. However, I still have seen the thin, stringy white worms on the outsides and the fact that I can see them on the outside makes me think there are TONS! I’ve lost count of how many, and I can only imagine how many are actually in there if I could really analyze, but

I am blown away at the results and how many parasites have come out.

If I’ve seen this many without digging, I can’t even imagine what’s really in there and all the different kinds (gross!) Everyone Has Parasites!

Yes it’s true – those creepy, crawly, wormy things are all up in our bodies! I learned this thanks to www.organicolivia.com ‘s posts and research. I took it upon myself to purchase the book “The Cure for All Diseases” by Dr. Hulda Clark and also the budget-friendly parasite kit that Olivia suggested. I plan to document my journey so stay tuned and see below for updates!

Day 1 Results: No kidding, I already saw a parasite come out (sorry not to give TMI or be too graphic) but it was so exciting! I can’t believe I did one day of the parasite cleanse and colon cleanse and already passed one of those creepy worms! Makes me excited for these next two weeks!

Days 2, 3 & 4: So unfortunately I haven’t seen any more parasites like the first day (probably because I haven’t gotten to the point when I’m willing to use utensils and plastic gloves to dig around and look, gross!) BUT I definitely am experiencing a bit of headaches, fatigue and bloated-ness! Sorry for the TMI, but I’m also on my period so wondering if that’s what the bloating/fatigue is from, or maybe it’s a combo. Anyways! I don’t really feel any different, I’ve been eating like normal (probably a little too bad for a cleanse, but I like to eat!). SO I’m wondering if it’s working? It is a 2 week thing so probably going to see more action as time goes on. I’m documenting the pictures of my stomach and face each day to see if there are noticeable changes!

Days 5, 6 & 7: So I’m not going to give TMI because I don’t think anyone wants that (please comment below if I’m wrong) but I just HAVE to share with you…

My experience so far:

  • The colon cleanse: at first I didn’t mind the taste/texture! It really wasn’t bad. However now that I’m on day 7 and colon cleanse drink #13…it’s getting so much harder to swallow! What used to take 30 seconds before now takes up to 15 minutes to get down. *Comment if you are experiencing this same thing below*
  • Parasite sightings: Some keep utensils and gloves nearby so they can dig around and explore what has come out..unfortunately my stomach turns as the idea, and attempts I made, of doing such things (I’m hoping I can get past this because I REALLY am curious)! BUT I have seen 4 worms come out without digging! And they were on the surface/separate and completely 100% visible, clear as day WORMS! It’s so exciting to see something you’re working hard at everyday already have results. I’m sparing you all from personal pictures, but if you Google: “intestinal parasites” you can see some examples of what I’ve been seeing! I believe I passed a rope worm, possibly a tape worm or 2, and definitely a thin stringy one that looks like a hookworm. There are probably so many coming out that I don’t even recognize because honestly with my research, some of these parasite look like broken down food but check out the Google pictures for yourself!
  • Acne: Maybe I’m jumping the gun here, but I swear my chronic acne that has been a problem on my chin and all around it seems to be disappearing. This is unprecedented! I have had this acne for almost a year and a half non-stop and for years before that on and off. I thought it was stress but when Olivia said her chronic backne started clearing after her cleanse, i was hoping to see the same results for myself! It seems to be working..stay tuned. *Anyone else experience this?*

Inspiration comes in many forms. For me, I always knew I wanted to help people I just didn’t know “the how” yet. In college my Environmental Education and Sustainability teachers instilled in me a sense of ownership that I could really make a difference in the world and contribute to the causes I believe in. I see this time and time again from others, so why not give it a try myself? Most recently, a blog called http://www.Organicolivia.com inspired me to create my own blog based on my health and wellness journey. I believe in the idea that you are in control of your life, whether it be your health, your emotional state, the world you live in or whatever it may be, and I think we all need to take ownership of this idea to make any sort of change for ourselves and the Earth.

I anticipate this journey to be an interesting one full of adventure, discoveries, sharing, and enlightenment. I welcome everyone’s input as this will be a place for trying new things, testing ideas, and sharing results towards the common goal of overall health, wellness, love, and the Earth.

About Kelsey: I am born and raised in California, went to Santa Barbara City College and graduated from CSU Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies (Magna Cum Laude).
